Story

Sieghart was once nicknamed the Duelist (or Ares or General) by his peers for his unparalleled valor and amazing skill with the sword. He was responsible for saving Bermesiah and the kingdom from evil, but an even greater adversary began to encroach the land. Determined to rid Bermesiah of this evil once and for all, Sieghart began to ready himself for another adventure, discarding the comforts afforded to him by his noble status and upbringing, so that he may take on monsters in his wake once again.

Characteristics

Dash attacks can be combined with combo attacks and can turn and still attack while doing a dash attack. The Duelist’s agility allows him to rise up in great bounds to attack anyone above him or attacking him from above. He can also make himself more aerodynamic while descending to quickly return to the ground so he can startle his enemies or get out of a sticky situation.

The Duelist has the ability to change to a “Power Stance” during a basic combo, jump or dash attack. Using rage with the power stance makes your Heavy Smash and Adrenaline Attack inflict more damage.

When the Duelist unleashes his rage, his power is dramatically increased and he will also gain defense bonuses making him harder to defeat.

Skills

Rule Break Rising Weapon Dread Punisher

Non-Rage Skills

  • Rule Break (1st MP)
Series of attack that makes use of quick slashes, and ending with an attack that may knockdown or knockup depending on the number this skill is used consecutively without pause. First use will make Sieghart use quick slices, ending with a knockdown attack. Second consecutive use will make him do jabs with shorter delay, ending with knockdown attack. Third consecutive use will do the same attack as the second, but ends with a knockup attack. Further use will reset the count from the beginning.
  • Rising Weapon (2nd MP)
After taking a moment to prepare himself, Sieghart dash forward with all his power and do a single, powerful uppercut which generate a purple wave bursting upwards. This skill can be executed earlier by pressing button any time mid-dash, to stop dashing and immediately do the uppercut.
  • Dread Punisher (3rd MP)
Sieghart slices rapidly that it generates a circle in front of him, lifting opponents up, he then finishes by bursting an explosion from his hand.

Rage Skills

  • Raging Rule Break (1st MP)
The rage variant uses the same attack as second and/or third use of the non-rage, with stronger damage due to rage. First use will make Sieghart use short jabs, ending with knockdown. Second use will make him do the same attack, ending with a knockup attack. Further use will reset the count from the beginning.
  • Raging Rising Weapon (2nd MP)
After the uppercut, powerful slam is added at the end, inflicting serious damage. Also possible to execute earlier, like its non-rage counterpart.
  • Raging Dread Punisher (3rd MP)
Charging with powerful wave from overhead above pushing the enemy, and then finishing with a grand slam which inflicts great damage. Has a massive reach.

Special Abilities

  • Stance Change
(Key Input: during combo, or by performing rapid descent [+])
Duelist unsheathe both of his rapiers, in ready stance, but only able to move slowly while in this state. Able to continue several actions from this stance.
  • Heavy Smash
    (Key Input: during stance)
Thrusting with great force, Duelist can reach opponents quite a distance away. Note that you can control which way to use this by holding the left or right direction key before the input, regardless of the way Duelist’s stance is facing.
  • Adrenaline Attack
    (Key Input: repeatedly during stance)
The Duelist unleashes both of his rapier to charge forward while stabbing repeatedly, pushing the opponent while inflicting great damage. Drains a portion of rage bar, more depending on the duration it is used. While on rage mode, however, this can be used until the rage mode ended without draining any extra rage. Like Heavy Smash, able to be executed left or right by holding directional button before the input.
  • Backward Hop
    (Key Input: during stance)
Do a backward hop a short distance, also cancels the stance.
  • Stance Cancel
    (Key Input: during stance)
Immediately sheathe the rapiers and cancel the stance.
