Story

After the conclusion of the Demon Wars, Dio prepared to return to his own world by sealing away his powers when he sensed a distortion near one of the portals. He decided to investigate, ultimately encountering the Grand Chase knights. Determining that their strength would be of great addition to his own, Dio decided to join them on his quest. As time passed, the distortion around the portals became even stronger, and Dio began to slowly unseal his powers and little by little reclaimed his former strength. The name Drakar symbolizes how much stronger Dio has become since he started out as a Stygian.

Characteristics

Drakar is Dio’s 2nd job and an even stronger one at that. Reabsorbing his sealed powers allows Dio to manifest his strength through his weapons and their hidden powers allow him to engage in a “Weapon Pose” while his “Devil Pose” brings out his inherent magical abilities.

Basic Gameplay

Unlike the previous ten characters, Drakar can use all of the skills acquired through Stygian and even when there isn’t enough AP for use for Active Skills, players can still revel in Drakar’s dynamic game play.

Dio is the first character to introduce the concept of Job Stacking. As Dio advances more and more, he grows stronger and more lethal. However, he is unable to revert back to previous jobs, as all of them technically are as one. While Dio absorbs more power, he can use the future job abilities and yet retain his previous ones as well. Noticeably, the Rake Hand attachment grew much larger as he changed from Stygian to Drakar.

Skill Tree Overview

Due to Job Stacking, changes have been made into Dio’s skill tree once he advances to Drakar:

• The Drakar Skill Tree adds another 30 SP to the Stygian’s giving it a total of 60.
• It is again divided into two tabs which correspond to active and passive skills.
• Many abilities now range to a maximum of five.
• Certain abilities prior to Drakar act as a passive effect towards some previous abilities.

Active Skills

Drakar’s Active Skills add enhancements to his Stygian Skill and also introduces new Special Abilities.

• Devil Pose
  Drakar’s Devil Pose augments his Stygian skills like Necrotic and Black Space. It also introduces Rebound and Kill Zone.
• Weapon Pose
  Drakar’s Weapon Pose adds skills like Chaotic Spark and Charging Death Star. He is also able to make obstacles using his Blocker Skill. In addition, a skill that reduces AP consumption for his Stygian skill Onrush has been added.

Passive Skills

The Drakar’s passive skills still focus on things such as AP Recovery rate and Critical chance, adding additional level to his previous skills. It also adds skills that change Dio’s Normal Combo and Jump attacks.
