Story

Rufus (AKA Lupus or Luxus) Wild is a warrior of the dimension of Hades, also known as the “Nether World”. Hades is where the evil souls of those who die in the Aernas go, Aernas being the world of mortals of which includes the adventures of the Grand Chase expedition. The evil souls are trapped in a prison, to spend eternity repenting for their sins. As for the good souls, they live in freedom waiting for their reincarnation. Some are assigned to their native dimension to assist it’s share of escaped (or possibly able to escape) evil souls, and those who get this privilege are grouped into a tribe called Haros.

Rufus is a part of a family of the tribe Haros, whose members have always acted as guardians of the Nether World. While still a child, his father was a famous Bounty Hunter. These were warriors in charge stop the shady creatures that may be able to escape from Hades. For Rufus, his father was the greatest hero in the world and he was his role model in which all his greatest dreams revolved.
However, those dreams were tragically destroyed when, during a mission that led into the world of Aernas, his father became involved with a human and he left Rufus on his own, never returning to Hades. This event traumatized the the child Rufus, making him eventually grow into a young cynical and bitter man, unable to trust other people.

After being abandoned and driven by his resentment towards his estranged father, He set out to surpass his father’s abilities and become one of the world’s greatest bounty hunters. He spent many years as a lone wolf honing his skills and perfecting his deadly trade, and after the end of a lengthy pursuit in the mundane world that took his father, Rufus prepared to return to the Nether World until he suddenly discovered an enigmatic blue flame [...The Ringmaster?].

Characteristics

Rufus is known as Lass’s Step Brother [it is currently unknown in which parent's side both share] and rival.

Rufus is known for his exceptional mid range attack and close range attacks, allowing easy playing for the first timers with intuitive control and various connected skills. Also, this character allows the fun of observing continuous growth, as its skill tree goes up to level 80. At Skill Level 78 he learns Expunge, which invokes all of his support weapons into a finishing blow.

His childhood scars made him bitter and calculative in all instances. He does not trust anyone and wishes to do all tasks on his own.

Special Abilities

Rufus speed increases with every new job he acquires.

Rufus wields a variety of “support” weapons, and his main weapons, the Eyeteeth. When obtaining all four jobs, Rufus wields:
Eyeteeth (two handguns)
Nether Blade (dagger)
Rupture (shotgun)
Soul Arbiter (gatling gun)

Other Information/Trivia

* Rufus is also known as Lupus in KGC and BGC and it is also known as Luxus in GCPH.
* Rufus is the first character to be released with all 4 of his jobs (KGC). However, he only released with his 1st job in NAGC,THGC and GCPH, and each following week released his next job.
* Rufus, according to the storyline is looking for the source of the blue flames. However, it is said he’s still searching for the source after he kills the Ringmaster, which could possibly put Lass in the hotseat.
* Aside from Rufus, Mari is the only other character to use a gun.
* Upon acquiring Arbiter, Rufus’s natural hair color goes from brown to blond, marking the first ever instance of a permanent character look change after completing a task. Also, some Coordishop helmets are colored blond to match, as well as most, if not all GP helmets in the shop.

“Rufus is a powerhouse in PvP, and is often classified as “overpowered”. However, Without cash items you may not do so hot in Dungeons with him. Also, in NAGC, his Weapon Change mission is currently missing, it’s intreguing. Not sure about the other places, but still. I’d say he’s worth unlocking if you want some fun in pvp, and if you have the support needed in Dungeons. Pretty fun, but he gets dull after a while.” -Wolfhero
